Dr. Bob Kellan returns with another fantastic play entitled “Leave Them Laughing.”
This is a story about a journey. There are four passengers: Pauline DuPont; a mature, savvy bestselling novelist. Robert DuPont, Pauline’s husband; a witty, satirical, successful playwright. Ken Nallek, a contemporary and close friend of Pauline and Robert, is a funeral director, and, because of his work, is determined to live his life out to the fullest. Pamela Edgewood, a slightly younger, very attractive, frustrated actress, who is reluctantly working as an admission directed to a retirement community.
Their journey travels over many of the bumps and curves on Life’s Road such as the inevitability of old age and death, the difficulty in fulfilling aspirations, the pain of disappointing interpersonal relationships and the joy of successful ones. We are privy to their serious and often funny discussions about these matters. And, hopefully, at the end of the journey, we are all laughing…
